Car sharing

There are a few options for car sharing - the local car share, the local car pool and the long-haul option.  Not only will sharing a car help reduce emissions, there are financial and social benefits as well.

Greenfleet provides the following information and links for information only. While we support  car sharing and car pooling, we do not endorse any of the providers and encourage you to investigate thoroughly before signing up.

Local car share programs

Local car share programs are great If you just need a car (or a second car) occasionally.  These programs operate a little bit like a regular car rental, but with the following added advantages:

  • rental periods are managed in one hour blocks
  • access to vehicles is often on a 24 hour basis
  • bookings can be made online at short notice
  • cars are parked in a variety of convenient inner city and suburban locations
