Melbourne is trialling a Common Bike program until 26 May 2009 to see how bike sharing would work in the inner city suburbs. Monash University is offering a bike share program to Halls of Residence students at its Clayton Campus. The recycled bikes have been fitted with a locking system similar to those used on shopping trolleys.
