Amazing progress shots of our native forest near Broadford in Victoria

You only need to take one look at these before and after shots to witness the dramatic impact native reforestation has had for biodiversity and native fauna in this area.

This site is located 4km south west of the Central Victorian town of Broadford and was used as a sheep grazing farm for decades until recently, when it was purchased for use as a lifestyle property. The property owner could see the benefits of investing in green infrastructure and the long-term benefits it would bring to their land. Since 2008, Greenfleet has planted more than 8,000 native trees over this 12ha property.

Today the area has been transformed into a biodiverse forest, with wildlife now common within the planting area. The difference between pre and post planting is stark and does create some excellent comparisons. The landholders have been delighted with the results and are committed to the environmental benefits of the revegetation.

See below the stunning before and after pictures of this planting site captured by our forester Eoghan in 2008 and 2013.
