2024 was Greenfleet’s biggest year yet for delivering climate action by removing carbon, restoring nature, and advancing reconciliation.
Last year, thousands of supporters joined us in the fight against climate change. We revegetated 547 hectares, including 460 hectares of protected koala habitat. The legally protected forests we restored will remove 749,246 tonnes of carbon over their lifetime. This equates to the emissions of around 175,000 average cars or nearly 50,000 average Australian households for a whole year.
This report demonstrates the impact we are making for our environment on behalf of our dedicated supporters.

Greenfleet planted 460 hectares of new koala habitat in 2024. These trees are legally protected to grow through the rest of this century and provide food and homes for these iconic animals. Koalas are listed as endangered in Qld, NSW and the ACT. By growing and protecting native trees like blue gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis), we are ensuring koalas can thrive in Greenfleet forests for generations to come.

We continued our Strzelecki Nature Link project with plantings at our Territory and Mt Emily sites. In total, this project consists of four Greenfleet owned properties which are growing to establish 3.5 kilometres of contiguous habitat for the region’s wildlife. Research also confirmed that Strzelecki koalas are inhabiting our Wurneet Laang Laang property within the Link. This species is significant as they descend from Victoria’s original koala populations and have not been translocated.

In 2024, we continued to deliver authentic climate action on behalf of our supporters. Greenfleet aligns carbon removal with the restoration of new, legally protected native forests. Our offsets cannot be traded, are audited annually by Pitcher Partners, and assured by a Federal Government accredited auditor. Greenfleet provides security that our forests are legally protected for up to 100 years.

We continued to develop our relationships with Traditional Owners and their communities, including Queensland’s Kabi Kabi people and South Gippsland’s Boonwurrung people. We advanced our own Reconciliation Action Plan with the release of our Reflect RAP, furthering Greenfleet’s commitment to growing authentic partnerships within the regions that we work.
Greenfleet’s 2024 Impact Report reflects the extent of our climate action taken in the past 12 months. With the help of you, our invaluable supporters, we can continue to look forward to making even more environmental impact in the years to come.
Together, we are growing our forests and growing climate hope.
